After 6 years of working within the recruitment industry, specialising in IT/Engineering positions, Taras joined AST Marine Sciences as a Technical Sales Engineer, concentrating on vessel performance telemetry solution and planned maintenance software application for vessel operators. Taras is the lead for AST’s vessel performance monitoring system, which provides vessel owners with data via an online portal on an extensive range of vessel parameters including, vessel direction and speed, engine temperatures, engine running hours, fuel usage, CO2 emissions, exhaust temperatures, mains battery voltage and much more. Taras’s role at AST is varied as his responsibilities are to provide 1st line technical support, engage with product development, training existing and new customers, attend client visits to perform presentations and carry out account management.
