A Chartered Master Mariner with over twenty years seagoing and shore based experience within the marine industry. Currently Chairman of the British Tug owner’s association.
Previous experience includes roles within the UK maritime administration including Counter Pollution and Salvage Officer and Nautical Surveyor, Port State Control Officer and Examiner of Masters and Mates.
Within the commercial sector, experience spans Senior Marine Superintendent roles and Account Directorship focusing on maritime business development and stakeholder management including support to the UN nuclear industry with the movement of Irradiated Nuclear Fuel cargoes.
Current role as Head of Maritime Standards for Svitzer in the European Region representing Svitzer within the regulatory environment and industry forums, driving an overall culture of safe operations, continued development of an efficient Safety Management System and nautical matters.
